Yesterday, five years after they green-lighted the return of silicone breast implants to the market, the FDA reviewed new data on their safety. What did they conclude? "As suspected, the FDA came out and said that breast implants, both silicone and saline, are inherently safe," says Dr. Andrew Kleinman, President of the New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons.
