On October 27, 2009, Dr. Kleinman is seen here testifying on behalf of MSSNY (Medical Society of the State of New York) at a press conference with Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announcing the set up of FAIR Health, a new nonprofit organization. FAIR Health has been created to assist patients to receive appropriate reimbursement to medical and surgical services. With support from Syracuse University and other states universities the New York nonprofit will help insurers determine their rates for out-of-network care and give consumers a heads-up on what to expect their policy to pay when they seek such care.
