Breast and Body Plastic Surgery

Surgical body procedures are designed to enhance or reduce the body's natural features to create a more desired body image. Breast augmentation, or augmentation mammaplasty, is a surgical procedure in which a woman's breasts are enhanced for increased fullness. A breast lift is a form of breast augmentation that repairs the effects of age to restore firmness. In many cases breasts are so large that they create discomfort or, especially in the case of some obese men, embarrassment. Breast reduction surgery for women is designed to create smaller, lighter breasts that better fit the overall type of body that the woman has. Male breast reduction is designed to reduce the size of an enlarged male breast, a condition called gynecomastia.

Surgical body procedures don't start and stop at the torso. The tummy tuck is a popular procedure that reshapes the abdomen to give a person's stomach an improved appearance. Thigh lifts are used to remove excess fatty tissues and loose skin, tightening up the appearance of a person's thighs. Brachioplasty, or an arm lift, functions much like a thigh lift in that it removes excess fat and skin but from the under part of the upper arm in order to give it a firmer appearance.
